Seminar on “Role of J&K Youth in Viksit Bharat” Held at SPMR College
A seminar on the theme “Role of J&K Youth in Viksit Bharat” was organized today at Govt.
SPMR College of Commerce. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who
presented insightful speeches on the topic.
Lectures highlighting the crucial role of the youth in shaping a developed and self-reliant India,
were delivered by experts. Prof. Shaji Khan suggested to students to become job providers
instead of job seekers, and said that youth should explore innovative business ideas in areas
where they possess keen interests. Dr. Ridhi Sharma gave a detailed presentation on the
various aspects of Viksit Bharat Program and various aspects of contribution of youth towards
nation-building. She also appraised the audience about various government schemes related to
startups and entrepreneurship, community services, capacity building, skill enhancement and
preparation for administrative service.
In his message to the students, Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh applauded
the efforts of the students and encouraged them to participate in the Viksit Bharat initiative with
great zeal and zest. He advised the students to make most effective use of government
schemes to shape their future and for their holistic development.
Dr. Mohd Azam (Convener) also spoke on the occasion, and inspired the students to contribute
in a major way towards the development of the nation.
Among the student speakers, Taranpreet Kour was adjudged the Best Speaker of the seminar
for her articulate presentation.
The program was ably compered by Prof. Monika Mahajan. The seminar concluded with an
interactive session, leaving the audience motivated to contribute actively towards nation-
building.
Among those present on the occasion were Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Chetna Gupta, Dr.
Deepshikha Sharma, Dr. Sunal Sharma, Prof. Sanjeev Verma, Prof. Shallu Gupta, Prof. Khalid
Hussain and Prof. Anwar-Ul-Haq.
